SEND – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Class teachers work together with Mrs Tanner, our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator, to respond quickly to any area of difficulty children may be experiencing. In partnership with you, we can formulate strategies to support your child and where necessary seek involvement from outside agencies such as paediatricians, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist ect. Please contact Mrs Tanner via email if your child is currently involved with or has previously been involved with any outside agencies.
If you have any concerns about your child’s overall development, social and emotional needs, speech and language needs, physical and sensory needs or learning needs then please contact your child's class teacher in the first instance,

Pastoral and Family Support
We offer pastoral support in school for children and families who may be experiencing additional difficulties and may need some additional help.
Staff work closely with Miss Vicci Gibbons and Mrs Karen Overthrow, our family support workers.
The type of things we be able to offer support you and your family with are:
•Improve adult and children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing
•Support for those experiencing domestic abuse
•Improving children’s attendance
•Housing support
•Finance and benefit entitlement advice
•Employment and adult education opportunities
•Parenting strategies on a 1:1 basis
•Just a general wellbeing chat.
•Supporting families in enabling your child to overcome barriers to learning
