Abbeymead Primary School

New Starters

If you have chosen Abbeymead Primary school to be your child's school then we wish you a very warm welcome to our school community and to the Abbeymead Family

At Abbeymead we agree with The Early Years Framework when they say “Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential.”

Welcome to Abbeymead Primary School. We are delighted that your child has been allocated a place with us for September 2023 and are encouraged that most families have now accepted their child’s place with us.

Below you will find links to all of the documents and presentations as they are created and released to you.

Information about stay and play sessions

Following our EYFS families’ induction evening, your child will have the opportunity to visit school, familiarise themselves with the classroom environment, meet their teachers and new friends in our settling in sessions.

  Home Visits

Our home visits will give you and your child a chance to get to know us and for us get to know you, thus starting our home / school relationship on a positive footing. This visit is crucial for building a relationship with families, a time to exchange information and a further opportunity to gain a better understanding of your child.

Dates for these visits are:

You will be invited to sign up for a time and date after the families induction session.
